Stock Market surges in late trade Today 30-share index Sensex ended
at 19,962, up 158.13 points or 0.80 per cent. It touched a high of
20,013.33 and a low of 19,775.29 in trade and Nifty closed at
5,899.45, up 59.25 points or 0.84 per cent. It touched a high of
5,916.90 and a low of 5,840.20 in trade today.
Today
NTPC, Tata Power, Dr Reddy's Labs, SBI, HUL were the top gainers in
the Sensex,and BHEL, Hero MotoCorp, Sesa Goa, M&M and Infosys
were among the losers. Indian currency opened the day at 63.25 per
dollar, slightly stronger than Tuesday’s close, and has since
gained further ground against the greenback.
In International market Asian markets finished mixed as of the most
recent closing prices. The Nikkei 225 gained 1.35% and the Shanghai
Composite rose 0.29%. The Hang Seng lost 0.27%.European markets are
higher today with shares in Germany leading the region. The DAX is up
0.51% while France's CAC 40 is up 0.43% and London's FTSE 100 is up
0.17%.

ReplyDeleteMarkets opened flat but sustained buying was seen in the entire session and positive momentum was seen in the last hour of trade and closed on satisfactory note. Nifty future lied in the same consolidation range on daily charts while closed above crucial 5900 mark indicating strength further.
