Stock Market Close Positive Nifty Gain 85 pts,Equity market updates

Today Nifty 50-share index ended at 6,176.10, up 84.25 points or 1.38 per cent. It touched a high of 6,182.50 and a low of 6,103.80 in trade and BSE Sensex closed at 20,791.93, up 257.02 points or 1.25 per cent. It touched a high of 20,819.77 and a low of 20,558.93 in trade today.

BSE Sensex gained 1.25 percent, while the broader NSE index ended 1.38 percent up, also marking their biggest weekly gain of around 3 per cent since the week ended October 11.

Bank Nifty outperforms (up over 2 percent) with Bank of Baroda , SBI , Bank of India and ICICI Bank leading the charge. Sesa Sterlite and BHEL gain over 4 percent. Cipla , SBI and ICICI Bnak are top gainers. On the losers side are M&M, Wipro and NTPC .

At beginning of market Jaiprakash Associates is 9 per cent. NMDC, Bank of Baroda, Sesa Sterlite, BHEL, SBI, Cipla and giants like ICICI Bank shares closed down 6.5 to 2.7 percent stronger. Although M & M, NTPC, Wipro, Hero Moto and luminaries such as Asian Paints shares dropped from 1.4 to 0.25 per cent.

Most of Asian markets closed flat or negative today. The Nikkei was down half a percent but the yen stayed weak above 102 against the dollar.

The Asian Paints , Coal India , GAIL , Tata Power , DLF , Sesa Sterlite , JP Associates , ACC , IndusInd Bank breakaway 8-4 per cent .In midcap Trident , Hindustan Dorr , Alembic Pharma , Infotech , Adani Enterprises , Orbindo Pharma , India Cements , TV Today went 14-8 per cent . The Maharashtra Seamless , Ashok Leyland , Tata Global , OnMobile Global , Shree Renuka , Karur Vysya Bank , Just Dial broken 12-7 per cent .

Nifty above 6,000 Sensex Ends 20,300 Market Overview RBI hikes rates

Today Indian stock market was trade in red zone, 50-share index Nifty ended at 6,024.55, down 91 points or 1.49 per cent. The index touched intraday high of 6,130.95 and a low of 5,932.85 and Sensex closed at 20,286.22, down 360.42 points or 1.75 per cent. It touched a high of 20,677.99 and a low of 20,051.43 in trade today.
Market was red due to weak International market response and weak rupees condition, most popular reason of market down is increased the repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.5 per cent from 7.25 per cent and reverse repo report to 6.5 per cent from 6.25 per cent.

The rupee weakened further against the dollar after the RBI policy. The partially convertible rupee was at Rs 62.09, down 32 paise or 0.52 per cent, against its previous close.

Today Stock market gainers and lossers Reliance Infrastructure, UltraTech, GAIL, HCL Techand Ambuja Cement were among the index gainers,DLF, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, IndusInd Bank and Jaiprakash Associate among the losers.


In International Market Asian markets finished mixed as of the most recent closing prices. The Hang Seng gained 1.67% and the Shanghai Composite rose 0.29%. The Nikkei 225 lost 0.16%,European markets are mixed today. The CAC 40 is up 0.09% while the DAX gains 0.05%. The FTSE 100 is off 0.09%.
