Toady Indian stock market was bearish due to U.S. current account deficit and the debt crisis worries tumbling 1.75 percent of the market. Today in market The 50-share Nifty index closed at 5,735.30, down 97.90 points or 1.68 per cent. The index touched intraday high of 5,810.20 and a low of 5,719.45 and Sensex ended at 19,379.77, down 347.50 points or 1.76 per cent. It touched a high of 19,651.31 and a low of 19,320.73 in trade.


NSE & BSE Gainers Today- HCL Technologies,ACC, Hindustan Unilever L, Bharat Petroleum, Sun Pharma., Britannia Ind, GujaratStatePetronet,ING Vysya Bank,Shree Cement,Max India Ltd.

NSE & BSE Losers Today - Essar Oil Ltd,Financial Technolog, Prestige Estates Pro, Tata Steel, YES Bank Ltd.NMDC Ltd, JaiprakashAssociates, ICICI Bank, Bharat Heavy Ele.

In International market In Asia, the Nikkei lost 2 per cent. Hang Seng, Straits Times, Taiwan Index, Cospi fell from 1.25 to 0.75 per cent. However, the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.7 percent.

Rupee against the U.S. dollar is salvaged. The rupee is trading at 62.59. Fears grow for the first quarter current account deficit came close to Euro 64.
