Today Nifty the 50-share index Nifty close on 5,287, down 189 points or 3.45 per cent. It touched a high of 5,427.40 and a low of 5,278.65 in trade and BSE Sensex close at 17,968., down 590 points or 3.19 per cent. It touched a high of 18,460.72 and a low of 17,925.11 in trade today.

Market is crashed today due to The rupee posted its biggest single-day decline in 23 months, falling as much as 66.07 against the dollar led by strong month-end dollar demand from importers and a weak opening in the domestic equity market. experts told the market is likely to remain range bound and take cues from rupee and crude oil prices for direction in the near-term as they affect the current account deficit.

Today In market HDFC 16.5, BHEL, 10.2 per cent, Jaiprakash Associates 9 per cent, 8 per cent, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank 7.8 per cent, 7.7 per cent HDFC, NTPC, Jindal Steel 5.9 per cent and 5.7 per cent dropped. Axis Bank 6.7 per cent and 6.3 per cent, Reliance Infra, Ranbaxy 6 per cent, ACC 5.9 per cent, 5.8 per cent of L & T, DLF and BPCL were down 5-5 per cent. However, Infosys, Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Sesa Goa and giants like HCL Tech shares were down 0.9 to 0.3 per cent stronger.
