Indian
Stock market closed in bullish zone
today, Nifty surged higher to close above intermediate resistance
level of 6,200 as sentiment turned bullish after the Reserve Bank of
India, in-line with market expectations, hiked repo rate by 25 bps to
7.75 per cent and cut MSF rate by 25 bps to 8.75 per cent.
Today
Nifty 50-share index ended
at 6220.90, up 119.80 points or 1.96 per cent. The index touched a
high of 6,228.05 and a low of 6,079.20 in trade and BSE
Sensex ended at 20929.01, up 358.73
points or 1.74 per cent. It touched a high of 20,952.55 and an
intraday low of 20,493.66.
In
Stock market Bank Nifty rose by around
4.5 per cent. Realty, auto, metal shares rose 2.5 to 2 per cent. PSU,
Power, Consumer Durables, Healthcare, Capital Goods, Oil & Gas
was 1.75 to 1 per cent FMCG, technical, IT shares were 0.5 percent
stronger.
Maruti,
Jaiprakash Associates, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bankand Axis Bank were
among the top Nifty gainers and Ranbaxy , ITC and Bharti Airtel were
the only index losers.
In International market European
markets are in strong trends. FTSE is 0.35 per cent. CAC and Diaaks
is also in green.
In
Asia, the Nikkei and the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.5 to 0.25
per cent. Cospi, Taiwan Index, the Hang Seng rose slightly.
the
rupee has strengthened against the U.S. dollar. Rupee is at 61.43
levels. Rupee closed at 61.52 on Monday.
